I have a 1986 Bayliner with a Volvo 275 stern drive. The prop that came with it is a 14x21which needs replaced. The owners manual recommends a 15x19. This is a long hub stern drive. What would the benefit be of the 14 versus the 15 or visa versa? Please help.
thanks,
Dave

I am a little new to this. What is WOT? Also I have never had this boat in the water yet.

Ok. I am still confused. The max RPM for the engine is 4400 RPM and cruising RPM is 3600RPM.

Re: Penta 275 stern drive prop question

[colour=blue]You need to determine what you WOT RPM's are with the 21" prop and then make a determination as to what best suits your boat.
You need to baptise the boat and do some test runs. Do you have a tachometer? How badly damaged is the 21" prop?

There are members here that can give you detailed information but you will need to supply a bit more information such as boat size/model, engine size/model etc etc.
