the solvent for the silicone in a tube stuff is acetic acid (fake vinegar).. interesting what u say thow.. i have only seen it used with small low voltage components.. never thought to use it with mains power stuff.. i will do a google and see what i find..<br /><br />trog100<br /><br />ps.. yes apparently the stuff u buy from harware stores uses vinegar as its solvent this can cause mild corrosion during cure.. u can buy special electrical usage silicone that uses a different solvent it seems..
