Re: Petiton for Border agents

dont know what job it was, it appears they broke some laws while trying to enforce some. I have not seen any details of the case so I wont comment. but if the enforcer breaks the laws they are supposed to enforce the penalty shopuld be automaticaly doubled.
I guess they had a Jury trial and 12 folks appereantly thought some laws had been broken. thats kinda how the system works.

The agents shot 15 times and hit him once. Sounds like Cheney needs to go down there and teach 'em how to shoot - he's 1 for 1.

Sounds to me like they did the right thing the wrong way. They need to be punished. For every bad cop theres a 100 good ones. That 1 bad cop screws it up for everyone. Hope they enjoy their stay with Bubba and LeRoy.

What's the point of having them, other than a target for liberal lawyers?

They can't enforce our laws of immigration.

We don't care! Bottom line.

After reading that report. I would never sign that petition.

Like KB said. They did the right thing, the wrong way. Being a person of the law does not put you above the law.

Law? What Law? PC law? Mexican Law?

How can one support a law when your opponent is lawless, and knows it? Not to mention your opponent knows that he'll win, pointlessly, in an American liberal court?

I suspect they fell victim to PC law! And, will all be sent to jail-for life yawn[/b for upholding a nebulous/politically changing law.. We agree, collectively- of course.

We, TVidiots will just "flip" the channel. Another yawn.

Pass the fishsticks-YAWN.

LFK,

You have no more facts than I do. Except, I'm in Phoenix.
I guess the great "thinktank" of Washington gives one a great perspective.

This is NOT an American city. It is Mexico City-North.

Illegals are EVERYWHERE.

If one wants to think the border is open for Hispanics ONLY-----

DREAM ON.

I've seen, first hand, what the "Federalis" have done to USA Hummers, with .50 cal., on OUR side of the border.

Only a Washington State intellectual could imagine a perfect world where everyone-hugged.

Have another Starbucks and KEEP your snowbirds. We're tired of following wallowing Winnebagos going 40, in the left lane-with the left turn signal on since they left home. ..

Re: Petiton for Border agents

I really cannot find much in the way of fact other than they broke border patrol guidlines, on a suspicion, then shot a man in the butt that they said was facing them, magic bullets maybe?. and they were also convicted of evidence tampering. maybe they knew in the moment of adrenalin they did wrong and attepted a cover up?
in anycase both were very well trained and had considerable experience, like I say one ahhshoot can knock over a whole stack of atta-boy's.
its sad, but it is what it is.if we dont like the laws there are ways to change them.
the training is supposed to assist in adrenalin moments.
the marines that trained us beat it into our heads that adrenalin was great stuff but usually was wrong.
its still sad to see 2 fine officers that appearently made a mistake in the heat of the moment get zapped, but it is the way the system works. if ya dont like it change it.

Re: Petiton for Border agents

It has gone through a texas court of law so i think we can call it facts at this point

Everybody seems to want mandatory minimum sentences so the judge now has his hands tied

It would seem there BIG problem and the reason for the long sentence was the coverup and not the the shooting

Sounds like a couple of good ole boy cops got tired of chasing illegals and started shooting.

They should be punished, but I think 20 years is too long.

I would like to see you bleeding hearts that feel so bad for the poor victim do the job of these agents day in and day out or more likely night after night. Put yourself in the situation where you have to depend on yourself and each other because by the time backup (if there is any) gets there the situation will be over one way or another. Couple that with patroling a known drug smuggling route with the smugglers more heavily armed than you are and then tell me how you should be trained to control your fear and never make a mistake.
I will call anyone either stupid or brave beyond belief that could do this job and not have thoughts of never seeing your family again because of one doped up criminal shooting you down at any time. People make mistakes everyday but most of them don't carry the consequences that these officers mistakes carry.

You post is full of ignorant statements. You should look the word up in a dictionary, ignorance is not something to be proud of.

The jury of 12 knows more about the situation than either of us. They found them guilty.

Based on all of the evidence admitted at the two week trial, including the lengthy testimony of both of the defendants, the jury of twelve citizens heard all of the testimony, judged the demeanor and credibility of the witnesses and unanimously found both defendants guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of eleven of the twelve counts alleged in the indictment, including assault with a dangerous weapon, assault with serious bodily injury, discharge of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence and wilfully violating Aldrete-Davila’s Constitutional, Fourth Amendment right to be free from illegal seizure, as well as obstructing justice by intentionally defacing the crime scene, lying about the incident, and failing to report the truth.

Your racist views must interfere with your reading comprehension. That’s sad.

I'm not sure who the bleeding hearts are, but I've never felt threatened by someone running away.

People in authority should be held to a higher standard. Abuse of authority should carry it's own consequences.

These guys cracked someone who was surrendering (with his arms raised) with the butt of a shot gun. When he tried to run away they fired 15 shots at him. Then walked away and tried to cover up their actions. If this happened to your brother down at the local bait shop you would want these guys put away. They abused their power.

Re: Petiton for Border agents

I understand their frustration and behaivor, but can't condone it. Otherwise, the US will look even more like Mexico where it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between the cops and bad guys.

You cant call it a mistake, cause the guy had to reload. I can understand one or two accidental shots, not 15. He was POed at the slimebag and decided to take a few pot shots and accidentally hit him. If he truly thought his shooting was justified, he wouldnt have tried to cover it up.

I am glad all those involved had the same skin color, otherwise idiots at LULAC would have been all over this one.
