Re: physical pain

My bosses son was only in Iraq 4 weeks when his Humvee hit a landmine in Bagdad and exploded.
Sorry and that prayer for the hero and his family Ladyfish.
Mental pain and pain of the heart is much, much more severe than any type of physical pain. :(

Re: physical pain

When I was 13-14 I was riding my bicycle. Some teen punks that live up the road from me are "driving" their clunker around raising he11. They spot me and run me of the road. I went down the embankment right into the grates of a drainage spot. My crotch was on the middle bar all the way down until the moment of impact and then it was buried in the neck. Yep, pretty painful, but not the worst of it. I managed to get back home somehow. The pain got smaller and my tolerence level incresed. I go to bed at 9:30 or so. Wake up at 3 am with stomach cramps something serious. Went to bathroom to pee. When I grabbed myself to aim I had a handful of purple apples, BIG apples too. My aprents thought it was probably just bruised and we didn't have insurance. At 7 the doctors office opened so we went then. "Yep, that boys gonna lose them things, they die after about 2 hours with no blood" Sent me 45 miles away for surgery. Testical torsion- the cords to the boys wrap around each other and do not allow blood a way out, after so long no more can come in. That part wasn't bad, I was asleep. I woke up with my midsection buried in ICE! Had to stay that way for 2 days. It did end better than expected though. I got to show my stuff to some pretty nurses, although not the way I wanted to. :) I still have use of one of the guys, it made 2 great girls. Anybody wanna get drunk and show scars? :)

Re: physical pain

Hmmmm....

I had an inguinal hernia back in my USCG days and it wasn't too bad. But when I was recouperating, at home, I sneezed. OMG, I thought I blew out my lower abdomen! It brought tears to my eyes, it hurt so bad!

Edit: Second worst, was when I ate some bad seafood a few years ago in a restaurant. I spent the night alternating between bonding with the toilet, and lying in bed with my knees up in my chest, dripping with sweat. My stomach and all my intestines were viciously rejecting the seafood, and really tore me up inside

Butch A.

Re: physical pain

Releasing a bear paw chain clamp on a load and it coming back and hitting my knee, just missed the knee cap but swelled the size of a watermellon no hospital for 60 miles the throbbing and pain was amazing and almost passing out then back almost passing out At hospital four drains Othrapedic surgeon and 3 months to recover Root canals with little freezing were a walk in the park compared to the knee
