There appears to be something wrong with the helm. :p

Seriously, though, it looks great for its age!

Is that a stick steer?;)

Nice looking boat, the red and white looks real sporty!

Uuuhhh, Dude, Where's your steering wheel?:D No really, nice boat, your first? That's the exact same motor I have on my 17' Bayliner. It runs real strong & it's plenty fast for me right now. There are a few mod's in the Force motor section of the forum. One thing I had to do was add a Tell-Tail to the motor, super easy & only took 10 min's to do. Nice piece of mind for me as all I need to do is take a quick look at the motor to know the impeller is working, not sure why they didn't just do it from the factory. Sorry to ramble on, enjoy!

YES I TOOK THE STEERING WHEEL OFF I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO CHANGE STEERING CABLES. Sorry forgot caps lock was on at work. Anyways its back on there now. maxx this is our second boat first motor. the transoms cracked on the original. Its a very strong motor. I have the tell tale added. Really looking forward to taking the thing out and trying her out. Thanks guys couldnt have found her without you all,

Say what you want about those old Chryslers and early Forces, but in my opinion they're the most badass looking outboards ever :D

Re: pics as promised

O I love mine actually called a local dealer yesterday who when I said Force outboard literally laughed and said I was screwed on my boat, why did I waste one penny on it. I said well first off you have lost my buisness and second off I have seen more evinrudes, johnsons, and newer mercs stuck on the loading ramp trying to offload from the trailer and not starting as I bump my key and take off. So ty but no ty I will stick with my "joke" as you seem to think it is. I love this little motor.

One quick inquiry though what kind of speed should i expect from this? also what kind of handling? I came from one that was missing the back half of the boat in wood and had very little weight to the front of it. So I wasnt really cutting through waves, this one is shallower and much more heavier from the factory as the previous. I was hitting 40 with my gps on the old one . I know this one being heaver will be different but I have read of people hitting around 50 at wot is this a real possiblity? My biggest concern is handling. It was extremly rough riding in even the lightest waves and turning was a scary thing. I was told it was due to transom flex being so extreme. Also I understand 16.5 is not a very long boat so it will be somewhat rough. I am just curious what to expect when I finally get the rigging done and get out on the lake.

Realistically you're looking at 35ish MPH, if you've got power trim, you may see 40.

Sorry, don't think you'll be hitting 50mph with that engine. It'll probably just grab 40mph though.

That is more then enough in that size a boat. I have no desire to be doing a race boat, just out cruising. I suppose not much will change with the handling and steering then. I am so ready to get out and hide away from everyone without the fear of the motor falling off.
