Re: Pics of boats being built
the seats aren't THAT heavy. It's like 25-30 pounds each, becuz we angle grinded off all the metal frame on the underside, except the support rails. Those frames and power seat solenoids weighed a good 25 pounds extra themselves. We essentially cut the weight of each seat down by half in the end. And really, when you take into account other stuff in terms of weights; ie: equipment, people, etc, the seats arent that much of a hinderance. And the price was right, 20$ Canadian per seat. These seats are in minty condition, seeing as they came outta 80's Linc's and sat in the junkyard for who knows how long. Very good finds. ANd i have two sets of pairs, 4 seats

... Happened to find two Linc's with blue interiors. Although the other spare set is more "lux". It's like fluffy fabric, kinda wavey. Hard to explain.

55Crest; funny you should say

I actually have two pairs of blue lincoln seats, the other pair is in my shed for in case these ones get ruined..
And BOTH the lincolns i got these seats out of, the bottom cushion of the bench was taken!! i was annngryyyy

... I was actually planning on putting in the back bench, but without a blue bottom to be found i was forced to halt my idea

. Now really, how many boats have you seen with THAT in it.. LOL. woulda been that much more eye catching. and ya, i've seen Caddy boats on the net before, dont think there's Linc's
