1956 Fishermen mounted and ready for action, notice the waterline across the transom, that's with me sitting at the tiller. I've designed a steering link to the main so I won't have to sit back there, the transom is scary low already with the added weight of the motor itself, moved 1 battery to bow and other one to port. I think weight is going to be my biggest concern. One photo motors up, one photo motors down.
Crap pics comming soon. editing size cut half the photo need to do a retake.

Could you do a close up of your steering link as well. I need to get my 9.5 mounted up one of these days

Tomorrow I'll have the pics up, the link is nothing short of a 18" length of stainless tubing with heim joints threaded into either end, attaching to your motors can be challenging, fortunately I was able to affix on mine without drilling any holes.

First time out with it tonight and it handles great, the main engine turning with the kicker makes it very maneuverable, I was trolling a crankbait when this catfish took it, 30" channel cat.

did you make the steering rig?
I take it the kicker "controls" are not hooked up; you just put it in gear and set the speed at the kicker and leave it? If so how do you maintain constant speed?
Seperate fuel lines?

Re: Pics of my kicker set-up

Good question, so far I've only used speeds just above idle and the throttle grip stays where I've put it and yes I put it in gear set the speed and take a seat at the helm and steer, I haven't experimented with more power to see if the throttle will stay put but it does seem to stay put at positions just above idle when trolling. I made the link rod myself not much to it, the kicker bracket I formed from a length of 1" wide aluminum and attached using the existing bolts. It uses a seperate fuel supply with pressurized tank plus different mix ratio, I think 50:1 would damage this old motor.

Definately dependable motors, the big one is a gas guzzler, I can troll for hours it seems on a gallon with the 5 hp.
