Hello! I'm a new member and decided to share with you all my new boat pictures.

Well after two months of waiting for delivery (don't ask), we finally received the boat Friday. It is a '06 Doral 245 Escape 25'.6" cuddy cabin with a Volvo Penta 5.7GXI DuoProp. This is our first boat and I feel very privileged at 28 to have a boat this size. I have been boating with my parents all my life. I always enjoyed our outings and I new one day I would have one of my own. I just didn't think it would be this size right off the bat. But hey, work hard play hard right? :)

I wanted a black bimini but since the deal was for this 06 it came with a "champagne" color top to match the interior. Not sure why. I would prefer to match the exterior but no matter.

Yes it looks small besides that 32 feet 10,000 pounds Prestancia.

The integrated extended swim platform is gorgeous.

Simple but roomy layout. I got them to include the table that can be installed in front of the rear seat.

I like the non glare finish on top of the console. The acc. switches on the left I'm not to crazy about. They have two functions each switch. Why not just stick with the regular rocker switches I don't know.

Sink and Clarion stereo.

Even if it's an 06, I got the new deluxe 07 bolster seats. Much nicer.

Small cabin.

Reminds me, I should clean the mirror.

This is where you put the cooler.

Vanity mirror, storage and closet door.

China head toilet is neatly hidden underneath. It comes out a couple of inches more than this.

Heart of the boat. Volvo's 5.7 GXI. Same engine as my father's boat and I like it's smoothness.

Good size hatch window.

I got them to install trim tabs with indicator as part of the deal. I didn't mind if it was Lenco's or Bennett's. Turns out they installed the former. Don't like the idea of the screws showing like that. Seems like more drag for nothing.

Handy trim switch at the back. They changed the swim platform radio remote for a bigger one with display.

Then took the smaller remote and install it at the front. hey hey hey

Trim tab indicator. Great rubberized texture.

They winterized it and shrink rap. You got it, as part of the deal.

Stored for the winter besides my parents 40' trailer. Making it look small again. Hope it doesn't give the boat a size complex.

Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think.

Can you believe this. I wont get to use it for 7 months! Boat season is very short in Ontario. Winter is going to be long...

Very sharp looking, you should get a lot of enjoyment out of that. Too bad you have to wait so long to use it, that would drive me nuts!

Couldn't help but noticed you got an ez-loader trailer with it, I've got one for mine and is a really good. One issue I had with mine that might save you some hassle in the future with the sealed LED tail lights, the plastic housing where the mounting studs come out the back crack and leak real easy. I've replaced mine 4 times under warranty, and ended up replacing them with light bulb style when the warranty ran out. But afterwards I found out that a few guys had put a rubber gasket between the plastic housing and the mounting plate on the frame to cushion it a little.

Good luck and have fun with your new rig!

Great lookin' boat you got there!

You'll appreciate that bimini in the summer, the sun beatin' down on a black top will turn your cockpit into an oven.

Thanks for all those pics. Now I want one of those! Funny how I kept thinking that I'd like to see what other parts of your boat (like the inside of the cubby) looked like and as I continued to scroll down there was a pic of everything I wanted to see :D

Enjoy it!

BTW what purpose does the trim tab switch serve on the back of the boat? My guess is just to lower them out of the way when your hanging out around the swim platform.

It's not for the tabs, it opperates the power tilt for the drive.

180shabah is right.

If your wondering what use is it to be able to trim the drive from the back. Well so far all I can think of it's when I'm leaving from the beach and what to lower it. I can do it from the water while knowing the depth, so the drive can be lowered as lo as it can without scraping the sand.

Thanks for all the comments all! Very appreciated!

That makes sense for raising and lowering the drive from the rear without having to go back into the cockpit. I have a similar switch on my outboard mounted on the side of it so I can raise the outboard for trailering or servicing and not have to walk around to the throttle control. It was when you said switch was for "trim" that threw me.
