haaaa - yep, definitely a payment but a suprisingly small one. I grabbed her for 11k. The way I figure it - I could have bought an older boat with no payment and paid more for the maintenance an upkeep or could have bought a newer boat with a little payment, less (hopefully headache) and less maintenance costs. <br /><br />Also, the best part of all is what cannot be seen...the 5.7 Merc engine and Alpha 1 drive that have been meticulously maintained from the beginning. Although my problem with my previous OMC was more my doing than OMC's, I just feel a little more secure with a Merc.

Extra sweet, next time I'm on the business of a grinder in 90 degree heat I'll remind myself that I'm being practical. I told you from the git-go the Crown was the ticket. I'd say if she runs as good as she looks you made out real nice. Good to see someone owned it that didn't let it rot to pieces! I'm sure you'll keep it in as good of shape, let us know how she works out and don't forget the project boaters on the forum.

Well, it is actually a 1994 but had a very modern design. It has a enclosed portapotty, sink, stove and cooler in the cabin with a removeable table. She has 400 hrs. I shopped around and actually found this deal on craigslist.com. They have a ton of boats this time of year. I looked at probably over 30 boats, 5 in person, but this deal was the best by far. She's seen salt once. Here are some more pics - I don't mean to be an obnoxious jerk, but I've suffered for so long and saved to finally buy something nice(r) <br /><br />

Nothing obnoxious here...you could do a bit better with the post of the pics but that's just jealousy talking. Real nice, I saw the motor before, try again with a better image. That thing is soo clean it's scary. Did you do the inspection or roll the dice?

gotta admit, i rolled the dice. i figured that even if i had to repower, it would still be a good deal. hull is strong.
