No prob at all, never even thought about that. First toy for the garage is my daughters 64 elky. She's 11 now so I have a few years to go before she's ready. I should have plenty of time to get it right before it rolls down the road.

Very nice. You going to go standard copper for the plumbing, or are you going to go with the plastice hoses/manifold way. I have done the plastic hoses, man that is a slick way to get water in a house fast and easy. Its being done more and more up in my neck of the woods.

Is that the gray hose (polypropylene) with the Aluminum or Brass crimp rings? If so, don't use the Aluminum ones, they leak.

Projected finish date is as soon as I can, probably late spring but don't tell my wife that.

Jason is referring to PEX, and I still beleive that I'm gonna use it. Will definetly not be copper. I really enjoy sweating pip but this is just too many connections for it to be fun. If I don't do PEX it'll be CPVC, still want PEX though.

I really like PEX (now that you have reminded me what its called). I think there are a couple different grades of clamps, the obvious thing would be to get the heavier grade clamps. I know on irrigation systems they offer two grades of the same type of clamp, why I'll never know. There lesser grade ends up loosening and leaking. I'm glad you like sweating copper, I don't like it as much. One thing that PEX has over copper besides being easier to install is that you can shut off indivual lines at the manifold if a problem occures, instead of shutting off the whole house.

We have a problem around here with people gutting copper out out of homes under construction to sell at scrap yard. PEX solves that problem too.

East side, one window here in my bedroom. We had it added extra although it does look out of place it faces the trees and a pasture so nobody else see's it.

If your wondering about the chiity paint job thats my doing. The siding comes pre-primed but we went ahead and bought a lifetime warrenty tinted primer. This area is TALL so we primed it on the ground/saw horses just trying to give a little better protection and coverage. I bought a spray rig for the actual painting so it'll look nice when finished. I just did a "hurry up and get some primer on these boards" job on this siding. Like I said its TALL and I want to spend as little time as possible way up there.

Its starting to look a little better. The scaffolding is gone and all but three of the posts are in on the porch. We went with a 6X6 treated as the columns just didn't look right to us and the 6X6's were about $85 cheaper. Doesn't sound like much but multiply it by 20 and you get the picture. I've started the wiring and have about 3/4 of the rough wiring completed. Should finish most of it out in the next day or so and then its plumbing time.

That's a fine house. Love that wrap-around porch. A few rocking chairs, a porch swing on one end and maybe a couple of ceiling fans and you'll be set. Well that and a glass of sweet tea.
