Picture help on my PC!

Hey guys, I was recently given several photographs of my dad (who was killed in a car crash in 1975, when I was 4). I have six sisters and none of us have more than a couple. I was given several from a guy I didn't even know (long story, but very cool guy). Anyway, I have the ability to scan them and e-mail them to myself, but they come as a pdf file. I would like to be able to convert them to jpg, possibly add notes, then e-mail them to my sisters and other family members. What's the best software (or way to go about it). Any help is really appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaron

Check out the Snapshot Tool right in the free Adobe Reader. It will put your .pdf image on the Windows clipboard where it can be pasted into a document or opened into Photoshop. From a picture program like Photoshop you can save it however you like.

Just a hint..... scan them in at the highest resolution as a jpg and it will make them easier to edit any scratches or crop as needed.

I have an epson scanner that does a great job and I understand how important it is to save those photos. I did the same thing with my Dad who passed. ;)
