I purchased this boat about two years or so ago. It had been gutted to the bare metal inside completely. The outside had been painted with primer. The guy I purchased it from said he bought it that way! I think he might have been ashamed of what he had done to it. So I have been trying to restore it. I have it stripped down to bare and plan to paint it the Johnson colors
red, white and black on the bottom. I have a 1985 Johnson J70ELCOS Motor on it. I sprayed the interior of it with white bedliner paint and used commercial metal studs to constr the floor supports. A previous owner had used treated lumber and treated lumber and aluminum DON’T
mix very well and it had a lot of pin holes. The bedliner did help but I still had a few to repair. I someone has this boat and would you please take a few pictures of the outside and inside so I can see what it looks like in original form, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank

Okay everyone let’s interested here are some pictures of my boat. For those who don’t know, my boat is a 1979 Starcraft Marine Fishmaster 160 with a 1985 Johnson 70 hp Seahorse outboard motor when I purchased it, the boat had been gutted and someone had sprayed it with primer. I sanded it down to bare metal and repainted it in the Johnson motor colors. I don’t believe I have ever mentioned my trailer. It’s a homemade boat trailer, it was also very basic. Rusty and no boat winch, no fenders, no boat bunks for the boat to ride on, the tires were bad and it had no spare or lights. But for $100 bucks what would you expect! So I purchased the boat for $300, trailer accessories about $200, the motor was $500 and I had it checked out and it cost me $600. I believe I have another $1500 in the center console, gauges, remote control, windshield and brackets, lights, and miscellaneous parts and stuff. That all being said I have less than $4000 but many hours of work and blood, sweat and well no tears! Hopefully everyone will enjoy the pictures and information. If by chance you see something that you might want information about, just send me a message and I’ll send you the information on it! Take care and be safe on the water.

That defeats the purpose of an open forum.

Best to ask questions here, in your topic, and reply to them here as well. That way the knowledge is shared w the whole forum and especially for those that come here after we are gone.

No in process or progress pix?
