I really appreciate all the great help and insight I have received from the folks here on iBoats. Really has made a difference. Several of you have asked for some pictures, so here are a few from Saturday.

Winter in the desert is tough :D

It looks like the boat cleaned up very nicely. Good luck with it. I think you made a good choice and wisely avoided making a decision based on a poll whose p value was not statisically significant!
I almost bought that same boat one year ago but the dealer would not budge on the price. Ironically, now 2 boats later, I have everything I hoped for with my 290 Signature Chaparral , especially with my twin engines since I do my boating in the ocean.

Hey Doc,

The pics of your son asleep with the Gulls and a basin of glass is just perfect.

When you get good let's see you spin her around inside Wishing Well

The entrance is back left in this pic (and back left of the main cove) . . . It's on the South side about a mile your side of the Narrows . . .

Oh, oh, you need to slide your docklines into the hole in your boat cleats and then wrap them around. Feed the loop in the line into the hole in the base of the cleat from the shore side, and then put the loop up and over the cleat. This way they can't flop off ;)

Re: Pictures of my Maxum - Finally

Thanks guys!

I have actually been in Wishing Well with a Park Service boat, but that was 10 years ago. Is it still there with the lake being down >100 feet? And no, even if it was full I would not want to spin the Maxum in there!!! We saw a Gila Monster suning itself on a rock in that cove, the first and only gila I have ever seen in the wild.

Cheers.

Yeah, that was last June, basically the same lake level . . . and you could spin her in there, the Cobalt there is a 25 footer . . .
