So to be safe... i decided to change out my new to me 94 120tlend v4 looper impellar with a new water pump kit Sierra part 18-3390 w/o housing. low psi 4 and then... no pee stream, taking it apart i noticed that the stainless cup hole was not lined up with the shaft and ovaled out, also the impellar was fused onto the shaft, had to break out dremel and cut it off. Also the plastic wedge has been rounded off im gussing from heat. Anyways, i installed oem 5001594 which superseeds 395062 w/ housing. good flow 10psi. at idle. i'm lucky the motor didn't burn up, hope this saves someone else the trouble i went thru.

The impeller cup hole is off center so that the impeller will compress on one side. This is normal.
