Hi all, I know this is a little off topic but... my girlfriends dad has a pier that is getting a bit old. It is an aluminum framework with a 4X8 sheet of plywood in each section, and each sheet of plywood has a thin plastic sheet of some sort covering it, I'm assuming for cosmetics and for sure footing. The frame is in great shape but the wood decking is rotting and the plastic covering is falling apart where the decking has rotted. I was planning on replacing the decking with pressure treated plywood, nice and easy, but I don't know what the plastic covering is, where to get it, or what to replace it with. He doesn't want bare plywood, and I don't blame him, plus we need some kind of slip resistance anyways. He is pushing 70 and I don't want to half-*** the job and have him suffer for it.
any help is appreciated.
