Pinned heads was a modification made to the later model Ficht engines. It was a pin about 1/8" that was placed between the spark plug & fuel injector nozzle, and acted as a deflector. As I recall it was to help with a plug fouling problem. There were several other mods. that had to be made when these heads were installed.
