Hello, folks!
Have Piranha Propeller on my Cobra stern. Were looking on the net to buy spare blades 13" for that hub, but found only one seller (eBay) with the price set for $20+$10 shipping each.

Anybody knows were else to buy those "Piranha" blades for better price? I'd like to have at list 3 spare ones on board.

Thanks y'all!

Did you ask the seller if they would combine shipping?
Did you check the Piranha site?
Do you boat where you are are breaking blades all the time? If your in an area that soft contact(sand/mud) is likely
a ss prop will hold up best if hard contact is likely perhaps an al prop. Forgiving and relatively easy to repair.

I buy them from www.discountboatpropellers.com. I remember having 3 20p blades come to ~ $75-80 so whether it is cheaper or not may depend on how many blades you buy. But my experience has been very good and they have arrived very quickly (2-3 days with normal shipping).

Yes, this is the only site I found but eBay ;-) Looks like they have all sizes and shipping charge is the same for 2 or few. Thank you.
How do you like your Plastic blades? I don't know difference, since I just got my first boat a little over a month ago and took it to the lake ones for a test drive, after fixing the motor. Was able to make 35 mph with 2.3 Cobra. Not sure if it's good not so, but feels great to me ;-)

Thank you for your respond!
I don't know where Am I boating yet. Just got the boat and still a virgin boater :)
My main idea was to spend kids-fishing time at California Delta with a lot of canals, preferably wild areas. So, I guess it will be the rough water.

I'm the same way, they came on my boat when I bought it and I have an Al spare but haven't used it. They get my 19' bowrider with a 170 hp I/O, 4 people inside and a skiier behind up in the low 30's mph, so properly trimmed and unloaded is likely 35-40 mph. My understanding is that most of the more knowledgable/performance boaters on here don't like them due to flex under load, but I probably couldn't tell any difference.

I can say this though: it is really nice to be able to change out the blades right there on the water in a few minutes. You can keep right on going for such little cost and not needing an additional trip to a prop repair shop. Not that I've ever had to do that...

If you answer the questions in "read this first" at the top of the page we can probably tell if your setup is working.

Re: Piranha Propeller blades

I have been running Piranha props on my Merc 60 4 Stroke since day 1. The dealer never found the correct prop so I ordered 2 different pitches (just guessing) and hit it right on 5900 rpm WOT. I exchanged the other blades so I would have spares. No problem doing that. Recently hit a submerged log that broke a blade. Back in boat house. Of the Nylock, change blades, grease the shaft, and off we go. A really good product with good dealer and factory support.

Does it have a cushioned hub? Or do you depend upon the weak blades breaking to protect the drive train?

Blades of Pirannah props are designed to shear off. Break a blade? Pop in a new blade and away you go.
