Having the block on a 40hp 4cyl honed (Engine Serial # 0G140839). The parts diagram shows the use of 3 ring piston or 2 ring piston. What is the difference and can I go with a 2 ring piston. Oil injection is removed and will run pre-mix.
The newer 2 ring piston is a cost saving move and it is about impossable to find the 3 ring anymore, the 2 ring is a direct replacement part no problem.
