Gee, 2 cycle engines hate any metallic additives in their oils. That is why non-detergent motor oil is used as 2 cycle oil. I always thought that ATF had lots of metallic components as part of their additive package, especially the new stuff.
Chain saws are one thing, but multicylinder high HP outboards are another. I would not use ATF as a fuel in anything.
On the scale of things outboard motors are pretty low stress . Ie my 90hp yamaha was 1170cc whereas a 2 stroke moto gp bike could poke out 180 -200hp from a 500cc motor .
If one was to get a crankcase with atf/acetone or fuel you would get rid of it the same way as a flooded motor ....pull the plugs out and crank it over until most came out and then put the plugs in and kick it in the guts .
I ran my saw ,a 044 Stihl on 50:1, for probly 2hrs ( not sure ) and that was knockin on 30 years ago now and it stihl runs fine (

see what I did there

). I sure wouldnt do it intentionally ,and I suspect prolonged use wouldnt do it any good ,and I always run my 2 strokes on 95-96 (ron) octane .
