So I just found out I have a crack in a new piston. I am looking to replace it right away. I wanted to get the motor back together this weekend. It is for a 1973 evinrude 135 h.p. I am located in WI. Is there any evinrude companies close to this area? Could anyone tell me the names of good piston brands or companies?

If I order a piston, do I select one that is 3.5 in size?

Well, I'm not in Wisconsin, but Evinrudes were born there. With all the boats and motors in that state, surely there is an Evinrude dealer near you. Go to Evinrude's website and they have a dealer locator.

You order them by part number. The dealer can look it up.
