Burnt a hole in #2 piston last year. Gonna tear down and rebuild if not too much damage. Where do I get pistons? Haven't seen any available but have seen similar bore size (2.875"). Is there another year/hp I can use for reference? Thanks, Nick.

Yeah, I guess my point it that nobody lists a piston for my motor. So what would you substitute. For example, would a 1970 115 crossflow high dome work or would a 1984 115 crossflow low dome be more appropriate.

Thanks, Faztbullet. Is this the only way to get pistons for this old of a motor, used or new old stock? Thanks again.

Still not sure on these pistons. Were the ones faztbullet suggested for 60-66 models. It seems that 67-69 were "1000ss" models and have a different part number. Are they interchangeable?? Starting to think this might not be worth rebuilding.

One caveat, older pistons (pre-'66 or so) have smaller wrist pins and won't work on your rods. If you should happen to find good used older pistons with the rods still installed, you could use them (the diameter of the big-end is same on all of the 100hp 90 c.i. motors).

That being said, stay away from the really really early motors with 2-ring pistons, the rings for those are getting quite hard to find. Any of the 3-ring style of pistons uses the more commonly-available ring set.

But the larger-diameter wrist pin pistons/rods are better, and sticking with a fully-matched set of pistons/rods is the best way to go.

HTH & G'luck with the parts hunt.........ed
