i have two stainless props for my johnson 225 one is 14 1/4x21+ and one is 14 1/4x21- whats the difference? there is a slight change in the tips (i guess thats what u call them) one is more rounded while the other is more of a point.

Re: pitch question

These were probably reworked at a prop shop to add a little pitch and to remove a little pitch and/or cupping. One maybe a 21.5" pitch and the other maybe a 20.5" pitch.

Ayuh,....

The more rounded 1 might be a Chopper prop, or a round ear prop,+ The pointy 1 sounds like a Cleaver prop.....

Re: pitch question

OMC came out with the + props. It was a bit more aggressive. Generally speaking the 21+ was a pretty good prop. The + is cast in as part of the numbers, right? I don't remember exactly but it may have been about the same time they went from the SST to the SST II. Are the defusers both the same? Or is one a flare and one a ring?
