is a pitot tube suppose to move,,,i bought a teleflex pitot tube it i had to bend it the other way from packaged,,,and it dont swing freely on the hinge the right way,,, it did when it was upside down
Most pilot spedometer tubes that I am familure with do not move unless you hit somthing like a log. They have a spring clip to pop up to avoid tearing the pilot off the boat transom. Water pressure pushes through the hole pressurising the hose to indicate speed. I keep a paperclip in the glove box of my ski boat to clean out debris from the pilot hole.
