Places to put 50HP near Hampstead, MD

So I've been to Conowingo Lake (or Reservoir, it's called both) up in Harford County... I love it but it's at least 1 hour away and all backroads. The only other place I can see where I can put in an outboard is Lake Marburg (Codorus Park) in Hanover, PA but they have a 20hp restriction. Or, I could drive an hour in the opposite direction of Conowingo and go down to the C&O canal/Potomac.

Anyone know of any hidden gems where a fella can put in a 50hp? Anyone know if the Codorus 20hp restriction is heavily enforced? That lake is huge and a trolling motor just aint gonna cut the mustard.

Well, you've got the entire Chesapeake Bay....
Seriously, from Route 1 at Conowingo, you're within 15 minutes of at least half a dozen ramps into the Susquehanna. A little farther south you've got the Bush and Gunpowder Rivers. The water around there is plenty deep if you know where to go, so get yourself a nautical chart. They're available free online.
I use the ramp at Tydings Park in Havre de Grace. It's only $5. They have a gas dock, snackbar and restrooms.

I know there's plenty of water around, it's just that I seem to be a bit landlocked from it... that is... it's all nearly an hour away. I prefer freshwater upstream of the bay... mostly we tube, fish, and swim. But then again sometimes I wish I just had somewhere real close so I could just put the boat in and tune the motor a little, get some more time in behind the wheel...

Guess I'll have to move!

anyone know if you can put a 50HP in Lake Marburg (Codorus)? Are they strict?

What about Rocky Gorge? There just has to be a body of water within 20 miles of me that I can put in at!!
