Places to waterski southern NH northern MA.

Hi all,
I'm trying to find some places to go skiing in southern NH and northern MA.

I live in Windham NH, I've been to Attitash lake, but not much else.

I'm trying to find some good ski lakes nearby.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I live in Salem NH, tight spot to live for boating, depending on what size boat you have. There is a local, but small lake, I go to often...it is known to most as Kingston lake, but is technically called great pond. It is small, but you can wake board and ski in it. My all time best lake in NH is Winnisquam, exit 20 of 93 north, takes me about an hour or so, from Salem, towing my 18 foot bow rider. It is a really nice, clean, long lake, and it has 2 sandbars, gas station, store on the water, and I like the pontoon boat that goes around the sand bar with Ice cream truck music and ice cream treats. The state has put in a great ramp; two lanes, with plenty of parking. It even has staging on, and off, the trailer. I also see a lot of crazy people wake boarding in the Merrimack river, above the dam in Lawrence MA. It not for me, I don't even like letting the boat touch that water, never mind me or my family. Pawtuckaway state park is a really nice lake. However, I swear unless I have at least one other boater with me, in there own boat, I will not go back, as the lake has a great ramp, but huge rocks sticking out of the water, as well as some real shallow spots. After the ramp, once in the lake, it is deep, and clean, but watch out getting to the middle. I hope this helps maybe one day I will see you out on the water, good luck!

The merrimack is very tempting as it is so close.

We've got three (between me and my brother) little kids and have been trying to find something that is close for the kids to get dragged around on.

The boat is 19 foot ski boat.

We've had great luck on attitash lake but big green algea problem this year, yesterday was un-swimmable.

Winnisquam sounds terrific for the kids and a straight shot up 93 is not to bad, particularly if there are treats for the kids on the lake .

I really appreciate the response.

Would be fun to run into others from the forum out on the water.

Can you tell me where the public ramp is at Great Pond? Is there parking?

if you are a town resident, you can put a boat on cobbits, that would be close, but no jey skis unless 3 person. i love winnisquam best, but sunapee is also nice, dont forget winnipeasaki. i have heard merrimack around bow is ok.

Hi Lucky, yup, town resident, but you must live on the lake to put in anything over 15HP or so. The town ramp only allows 15 HP and the hours are wacky to reduce the number of boats on the pond. Would be really really good if I could launch on cobbets, but no access for me.

I did not realize how few places there are around south eastern NH.

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm thinking I'll have to bite the bullet and go north, at least that way I'm better guaranteed some good boating and skiing.
