plans for a cockpit cover

I want to try to make my own cockpit cover, snapping from the windshield to the stern. The boat is a 1987 Forester 20' Cutty Cabin Deep V. I'm looking for plans, ideas, or experiences to help me make the cover. "I just need an idea how to lay out, and cut the pattern". I know I can install the snaps, and sow the material.

get an old bed sheet or 2 , a roll of duck tape, and some safety pins.<br /><br />if its wider/longer than one sheet pin/tape them together to make it cover, then tape one side to the top of the windshield, you will need to pin it back to get the shape right and have it lay flat so to spea. then work you way back down the sides a snap lenght at at ime, folding, pinning and taping where the snaps will go. when your done it should look like a ghetto cover taped on at teh snap points.
