There are what we're green berries that recently turned like blueberries. Nothing about this is Peppermint, not ever the scent of the leaves. Anyone know what this is??? Charlie
You can use this app to get a better idea. Since it's a store bought seed, and most likely imported, I don't think the location field will help very much. Take clear pictures of both sides of the leaves, the stem, and the berry clusters. Flowers are often some of the best means of identification, I think.
There is also an iNaturalist forum if you are interested in this stuff.
Google says it's eastern black nightshade or european black nightshade. Eat some of the leaves, hopefully don't die, and then sue Ferry-Morse, then profit!
Magic beans ?
Gee I hope that if its imported its not on your prohibited species list .
I dunno what peppermint is supposed to look like but Im wondering if its one of them things where different countries have different names for the same thing ....like maybe peppermint but not as we know it ...Jim .
