Plastic in tube

I have no water coming out my pee hole. I pulled one of the tubes away from the upper unit and it had a pretty large piece of plastic in it. I removed it but still no water....so, you think the piece was from the impeller? Gonna try to replace it but wanted to see what everyone thought before I bought the part. I ran it at the lake, and still no water, so wasn't a "muff" problem I guess. Any tips appreciated! Thanks everyone!

Sounds to me like your impeller has turned loose. When was the last time it was replaced?

You don't say what motor you have and what tube did you remove ? Pull the lower unit, check and replace the impeller. Chances are the impeller is self-destructing.
