Hi all! I recently was replacing H2O pump and happened to notice two white plastic tubes lodged inside the water outlet boot of my 1989 Force 125hp "A" series. I happen to own an original parts catalog for this engine and it identifies these in the "Lower Leg" section as being "Stand Tubes" (part# 816515). Sadly, the diagram does not show how, or where, they attach.
Ok, million dollar question.....What are they for? AND are they ness. to run engine?
My tech has no clue as to what they are for, but my personal opinion is they somehow regulate water level in the leg at low rpm. Any definite knowledge would be greatly appreciated?
