Please Help 1980 70hp Evinrude outboard two wires off

Just bought this boat and I have two wires off under steering console dont know what they are or where they go.
They are together (like a household extension cord) and are solid GREY on one and other is solid BLACK.
Can some one please tell me where they go?

Power trim and tilt work fine.

Deducing the purpose of the wires by only making an inference from the color of their insulation is a dangerous practice. Since your boat appears rather small, it ought to be a simple task to trace the wires to discover precisely to what they are connected. This is a much better way to deduce their purpose.

Every thing works I cant get in touch with previous owner he moved out of state
