Hello,

I just purchased a Bayliner with an 85Hp Force motor. The previous owner told me he used starter fluid to start the motor bacause the switch was bad for the electric choke. I do not like that idea and with a little investigating, I noticed that some backdoor wiring had been done on the boat because it was not like the schematic had called for. Anyway, I rewired according to schematicand everything works except the electric choke. I tried to bypass the switch by taking the green wire off of the electric choke and touching it with a hot wire but still nothing. Is there a way I can tell if the electric choke itself is bad rather than the switch? This is a unit that you press in the key to activate the choke and then turn.

Thank you very kindly in advance. Gary
