Please Help: 1990 Johnson 200 HP no spark

A buddy of mine brought his boat over today to fix a few things. He just replaced the Powerpack and now he only has spark on the #1 cylinder. The other 5 don't have any spark, using spark tester. <br /><br />What would cause this? He does have a new stator to put on, but we ran out of time to try that for now. He will be back this week, could this cause this problem?<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Bryan Cox

Just found out that he had also taken the flywheel off on Sat and reglued the magnets, as his mechanic had told him to try. <br /><br />Does anyone have any ideas on this?<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Bryan Cox

If the magnets were glued in wrong (polarity), that can cause all sorts of problems.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty

The magnets have one beveled corner and it should face you when you are looking at the inside of the flywheel. If you do not see any bevel on an individual magnet, it is upside down.

Trigger. Each trigger coil in the package should measure resistance across it. You wll need the book for exact values and color codes. But continuity of any value should lead you to believe it is ok.<br /><br />Samey-same with stator.<br /><br />The terminals to the switchbox should be shiny..If not, they are suspect.
