I believe I have a 62 20hp johnson (model fd-19d) <br />If anyone knows what year for sure please let me know. The problem I have is that I have to pull the choke all the way out in order it to go in gear then runs really fast for a second then real slow and back again then as soon as I put the choke in it dies. It also seems when started even in the neutral postion the only way it will stay idling is if I pull the choke once it push it in it stays idling for a few minutes then dies unless I pull the choke out before it dies. Please help!!! I need to FISH!!!
