i have a 72 johnson 25 hp and trying to figure out where the chargeing wires are or what color they are or if it even charges.and i cant find the wires that shut the boat off eather.oh and by the way it is a eletric start to.thanks jason

What is your model number, it will tell exactly what engine you have.

No charging system, so no wires. The kill wires are the two black ones coming from below the flywhee.

1972 when the two black wires are grounded and motor is at high rps it just sputters than when i idel down it shuts off.is it supposto do that

When you connect the two wires to each other, the engine should stop.
