Please help me find parts for Eska 1975A 5.5hp

Here is what I have found about the motor and engine...

JCPenney model 1001
HP: 5.5TG
Year: 1975
Serial: 57-120068

On the engine tag...
tecumseh
T643-20B
7482130

I am looking for a service manual and parts list.

The main part I am looking for is a small geared piece at the engine side of the handle.

It appears that the handle turn, which is connected to a small gear, which it meshed with another small gear (the one I need). This gear has a metal rod through it that goes into the engine compartment. The metal rod has a small pin that must have passed through the gear at one time..so when the gear turns, the metal rod should turn. Part of the gear is worn out so the gear spins and the rod doesn't turn...hence, no throttle.

I also need to come up with a carb rebuild kit for that engine.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Go to www.certifiedpartscorp.com and call the phone number you find there. That outfit bought all the remaining parts from Eska when they went out of business.

Have your model number and engine number ready when you call. They can get you the carb kit and maybe the throttle gears.

Carb kits for your outboard are also available at www.discount-marine-parts.com. Use their menus to drill down to your model.
