Hello all,

I am looking for a boat that used to belong to my dad and our family. We had this boat for many years and i spent many years of my life in it. Unfortunately, we began to stop using the boat and eventually it became rotten, a few years later my dad died and the boat was sold off having outlived its usefulness, and being probably beyond reasonable repair. I hate to think that a part of my dad is probably in a landfill now or continuing to rot behind someone's shop. I'm not looking for the one my dad had (if i could find ours that would be the best thing ever!), but if i could find one similar and make it like the one we had, I would love it.
Here's all i know.
It's an Allison Craft, probably mid 70's. Had a 115 Johnson on the back. Appears to have had a non removable gas tank at one point (gas filler on the side of boat) but that tank was removed before i was born. So far the only things I have found that appear to be matches are either the GT-20 (which I know existed) and the SS-20 (not sure if existed, said to be based heavily on GT-20) The boat was pretty basic. It had a steering wheel, 4-6 guages (i cant remember, last time i saw it i was 9, im 17 now). Blue Carpet, Wrap around captains chairs (appear that they took a cylinder sliced it down the middle) Passenger Seats in the back ran from back of captain chairs to nearly the transom along the sides of the interior. All the seats were black, no fake wood trim pieces. I have a picture of the outside with the cover on, so far its the only one i can find but i will keep looking. If you want to know anything else just ask. Oh, and it had a bespoke electric trim switch in front of the control box. The Johnson was NOT the original motor. I will talk to family and the co-owner of the boat to see if i can help you and me out.

here's the pic

Just a suggestion. Assuming the boat in the picture was your father's boat, with a registration number, you may try your DMV to see if someone else registered under their name. They may either sell it back to you, or let you know what they did with it.

That's true thanks for The tip! But do you know anything about what model it might be?
