please help verify correct timing for my motor '82 90 hp

SN# starts with 622, '82 90 hp I6. lync and sync procedure thread everyone keeps sending me says 4 BTDC at idle and 23 BTDC at max advance, but others on here have told me 4 ATDC at idle and up to 34 BTDC at max advance. Can anyone with the proper manual verify which of these I should be using? No distributor on this model.

There is no idle spec timing for that engine, the pickup timing is 6? BTDC and Max timing is 23? at cranking speed which will give you 21? running.....

as i stated, I haven't been able to find a model specific manual. Have heard that clymers and seloc are not model specific. very vague with instructions. but thanks

Only set at 23 degs if you have idle stab.. i think..

I have a 84 and 86 inline 115, i set the pickup between 5 n 7 degs BTDC and if running pump 86 octane gas set it at 20 degs wot.

That is 23? at cranking speed with idle stabilizer disconnected, it will automatically retard itsself with or with the stabilizer 2? at WOT.. This is straight out of FACTORY MANUAL !!!!!
