please help! will this trim cylinder work for me?

Does anyone know if mercury trim cylinder part no 98793-1 98703a3 will work on my 84 mercury 150 xr2? Ser no 0b129822. I found a new one on eBay very reasonable. I don't know if it will work on my trim system or not. Its not much more than the cost of a seal kit, and then I'd ha e a whole new cylinder, with new check valve and all.

That is a stern drive cylinder and will not work....

Thank-you very much! You just saved me 60 bucks. The rebuild kit is 40. But it doesn't include the check valve. I just thought as much new stuff in there as possible would help. I also replaced o rings around the cartridge pump. Anything else I should do that's not very expensive while I have the trim assembly off?
