Re: Please help!!

No luck, I'm left to believe its the CDI ignition/power pack. The only thing I know that can be so hit and miss like that. What's your opinion

Re: Please help!!

welp..you can purchase a dva adapter for you multimeter then go to cdielectronics.com/troubleshooting, find your engine and it'll give you the values you should see for each component...2 things to keep in mind... voltage coming into the powerpack from the black/yellow wire can damage the powepack < cdi gives a max. value for this >, the sensor < trigger> and power coil under the f/w supply the signal/primary voltage for each plug, so, if only one plug is firing the coil, pp or some other wiring problem is suspect, if neither plug is firing you've got the grounding < kill switch>, trigger, power coil, pp, and a possible wiring problem still in play. That's why you need to determine if one, both, neither plugwire is delivering enough voltage to jump a 7/16" air gap.

Re: Please help!!

Neither one is delivering at this time, but a few days back it appeared one was better then the other. I disabled the kill switch to eliminate that with no change. I'm getting good numbers leaving the magneto, but it seems I loose it after the CDI Ignition/power pack. It seems at this time it wouldn't hurt to switch it out to eliminate that scenario. In your Gof honest opinion, does it sound like that's what it could be, I've been told by numerous people that they have no doubt :/ but it's not cheap

Re: Please help!!

Thanks to everyone that responded with words of wisdom. I got the new power pack yesterday, installed it and it starts just fine now! Relieved :)
