Hello All......

I'm new to all this but got a sears 3.5 HP model 60920 Number# 11215B, made in Can by clinton in 68 I think, the numbers are right off the plate it self.

What I don't know is what mix of gas to oil is needed for it, and what kind of lower gear grease/oil needs to be used, I made sure it run great before buying it.

The thing is the seller gets them to go over them and then sells them, I ask about the mix to use and he said he would use 30:1 mix, but didn't sound to sure of that, so if anyone can please let me know if that is right mix and what oils and grease, it would be of a be help.

From the video it does indeed run good and has lots of power, I'll be using it on a sea eagle 9 and this will be my first use of a motor, so will be thankful for any and all input/help. Thanks! Tim :)

Welcome to Iboats,
I would mostly agree with your guy of say 24:1-30:1 with todays 2 cycle oil, although in 1968 16:1 was the rule with SAE 30

Use 80w-90w marine gear oil in the lower unit
