Plug Gap For 75'Johnson 50hp?

I am going to purchase new spark plugs and i am wondering if anyone knows the gap for a spark plug for a 1975 50hp Johnson 2cyl?Thanks!!<br /><br />Phil V

.040, using Champion L77J4's, word is these motors were designed to use Champions

Correct gap is now .030", Phil.<br /><br />OMC used to recommend .040", but with TC-W3 oil they changed to .030".
