plug hole in engine block where dipstick goes

OK guys, need some advice here. I bought a used 2001 Chapparal with a 5.7 GSi that was partially dis-assembled. The piston ring lands were all cracked and the valves were all tuliped, so it needed some work.

Anyway, when I got it all back from the machine shop and put it all together I noticed it had the hole in the block where an automotive dipstick tube normally goes, however this is a Volvo so it has the dipstick tube attached to the bottom of the oil pan.

I am assuming the Volvo's come with some sort of plug that goes in the block's dipstick tube hole, but I can't find it on the Volvo parts website. Can someone take a look at theirs and tell what goes in there or maybe take a picture ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tim

Nope, no special plugs sold by Volvo. I used to clean the hole out with acetone, then used a bolt that fits the hole, 3/8" If I remember correctly. Then just put some oil resistant sealer on the bolt, push it in the hole and let it cure.
I used the Ultra Black sealer used for sealing the intake manifold.
There is no pressure, so don't over think it. Originally they had a long plastic plug that fit tight in the hole. Paint held it in.

an oversized lead ball works well too, just pound it in.
