Hi. New to forum. Enjoy reading entries.
I have a 1972 Glasspar that I got last fall. Fair shape, but deck is rotted. If there is foam under the deck, I'll replace it. I read about the two part foam and using plastic pop bottles to fill in some of the gaps before pouring in the mix. Is the bouyancy of the bottles greater than the foam mix? Where can I get the red or blue foam, and does it come in different thicknessess?
The other problem is the gas tank is in front of the transom, blocking access to the drain plug. I installed two bilge pumps near the hole. but I like to take and drain when I put the boat on the trailer. Is it okay to put the plug in from the outside? There's no threads, just the rubber squeeze type.
Thanks for any and all your help.
