plug size help?

Need help finding a plug for my 1978 Crestliner 16' aluminum boat.

Bought a snap plug yesterday and it dosn't fit :/ .... should i try a different type or size?

SMH:frusty:.... so after posting this... there was a little voice in the back of my head saying something aint right... went back out side... got the calipers.... plug i bought is 3/4" and the inner part of the hole is 3/4"... well wtf.... got to examining the plug just a bit more... figured out you have to stick it in the hole and turn the handle a couple turns and this squishes the rubber and seals it!..... sometimes i wonder how im allowed to function in society at all..... :facepalm:
