Plug wire replacment

I found a bad spark plug wire on a 1962 10 hp I am wondering how to remove the plate that holds the coils and points, I see screws in between power head and plate but how to get to them. the wires are tucked under the plate.

not %100 sure on your 1962, but typically , once the coils are removed , there are just two more screws that you remove from the top. and obviously the linkage from the tiller to the plate. i would recommend replacing both wires while you have it apart....wire is cheap. ( 7mm metallic core)
