I have a plugged gauge port in the block water jack behind the 1/2" brass fitting. I have cleaned out the block port hole (~3/8" dia. hole) to a depth of ~ 1/2" past the tapped portion of the hole for the brass fitting. This hole appears to be a 3/16" dia. hole that going into the engine block toward the block's water passage. There is a small hole in the block at the dead headed end of the larger diameter hole, it is plugged solid, to solid to push out with a small drill bit. Has anyone experience this situation? If so, where to I go from here. BTW - The engine only has about 60 hrs. of run time mainly in salt water. The engine has been flushed after each salt water fishing trip. Yesterday, I did a vinegar/water flush of the engine for about 2.5 hours, very little salt deposits in the flushing solution.
Due to the location of the tapped hole, I cannot get a picture of the hole and the plug at the end of the larger hole that I have described above.
