Hi all, I'm replacing the 50hp engine on my boat with a 75hp and the transom bolt holes are different on the new engine. What is the best way to plug the old holes? The boat is an old fiberglass tri hull. Thanks!

EEEEEEpoxy or poly peanut butter mix. Usually a mix of your favorite glue, cabosil and chopped glass. Make it to a consistency of pancake batter and fill. Clean old holes well with acetone or other quick drying cleaner. Rough up holes or overdrill them some so you have a good bond. Tape off 1 side and plug in the mix. Work it till it stops falling down out of the hole so be prepared for this.

If you use epoxy and mix in some wood flour and some chopped strand till it's thick like creamy peanut butter it'll seal the holes and won't run out. Make it pretty thick and gooey.
