plumbing in a t8 kicker

Howdy,
I have a 200 yamaha 2003 4 stroke and I just recently bought a yamaha t8 kicker. What is the best way to plumb this to my main tank?? My main motor goes thru a water sperator that has another outlet on it that is not being used?? Or can I tee off the line after the water seperator that is going to my main motor?? Need advice..

T off the unused outlet with a 3 way valve.
otherwise the posibility will exist to draw air from the unused motor.
