I am designing a small platform at the front of my Magnium boat to mount trolling motor. If I go with reg treated 3/4 plywood and put a treated paint on it and then it will get indoor/outdoor carpet on it. will this by ok? Or do i need to find a sheet of marine plywood.

It will be fine. Marine plywood is just a higher grade plywood that still requires treating to be water resistant. If you use PT just make sure you use good fasteners that won't be corroded and be aware that it does tend to warp but other than that it will be OK.

Also plan on drying out the PT before you install it or paint it. After the PT treatment happens, the wood is not re-kilned, therefore it's heavy and has a lot of moisture in it.
