Can anyone tell me the correct Evinrude part number for the fuel line assembly that will run between the engine and the fuel/water filter?
The engine is a 1999 Evinrude 50 HP, 3 cyl, 4 cycle, EFI

I need the hose and attachment for the motor end only.

Is the hose 5/16" or 3/8 ID?

Thank you

Ron

You can just get those off the web site. Navigate to your motor and then the fuel pump diagram. Copy the link to your browser without the quotation marks:

Re: PN for Fuel Line Assembly

Thanks for the link. I didn't know about it and it will be a great help in the future.

Unfortunately, it doesn't give me enough information. I need to replace the hose and connector BETWEEN the motor and the external fuel/water seperator. I don't trust the previous owner's judgement on several things he did and I want to be certain I do things correctly.

I'm really trying to determine if the hose should be 5/16" or 3/8" I.D. and if the 'MOTOR' side of the connector works with either the 5/16" or 3/8" 'HOSE' side connector. In other words, is the 'HOSE' side connector the same except that the 'barb' fitting is made for either the 5/16" or the 3/8" hose.

I feel like I'm making this more confusing by trying to explain what I mean!

Re: PN for Fuel Line Assembly

5/16 is normally plenty of hose id for up to say a 100HP engine with a normal run between the tank and the engine. If you are running a longer distance or have a larger engine 3/8 would be better. The fittings need to match the hose as well.

Having the factory installed fuel filter and the external water-separating filter is not a good idea because it places too much load on the pump.

The Suzuki built motors don't list the exact hose id so your guess is as good as mine. I think the hoses at the engine on your motor are 7mm.
